Racor’s Turbine Series 2040N 2MICRON DIESEL FILTER elements feature Aquabloc® filter media, which is particularly effective in terms of water retention.

Diesel engine injector tolerances are measured in microns and the latest engines inject fuel at pressures above 30,000 psi (207 kpa). Under these conditions, the smallest particles of dust or water can scratch or erode precision components, causing engine damage, increasing maintenance and reducing profitability.

Racor’s FFWS series of turbines feature exceptional visible and emulsified water removal efficiency, low flow reduction and high dirt holding capabilities. The three stages of coalescence migration and filtration using the patented Aquabloc® filter element are the heart of the system.

First stage separation: As the fuel enters the filter combination, it passes through the turbine centrifuge (stationary) and swarms the large solids and water droplets that fall to the bottom of the collection bowl.

Second step: Coalescence migration: small water droplets bead up on the surface of the conical baffle and the cartridge element. When they are heavy enough, they fall to the bottom of the collection bowl.

Filtration Stage 3: Aquabloc® filter elements repel water and remove solid contaminants from the fuel with 98% efficiency of their micron rating. The water collected on the surface of the element coalesces into large drops that fall back into the collection bowl.
