Racor Turbine Series Water Separating Fuel Filter – #900FH2

Turbine Series filter with clear plastic bowl, 7/8-14 UNF-2B female threads and 98% 4 micron media.

Compatible element: 2040

Item Information:

The Parker Racor Turbine Series 900FH2 Marine Water Separator is the most reliable diesel filter on the market. This three-stage filtration system effectively removes water and particulate from fuel, while providing maximum protection for diesel engine components in applications requiring high reliability.

To meet customer engine requirements, Racor’s Turbine Series water separating fuel filters are available in several configurations. All models are equipped with Racor’s Aquabloc® filtration elements. Aquabloc® is a unique media that incorporates spaced pleat corrugations and a graduated pore structure to increase dirt holding capacity as well as filter life. The waterproof, rustproof media that captures impurities is specially treated to separate and coalesce water from fuel, causing it to collect in large droplets that fall back into the collection bowl. Aquabloc® elements are offered in three filtration thresholds:

30 micron (98% at 30 micron). Particularly suitable as a pre-filter to protect downstream filters from excessive contamination. Extends the life of motor filters.

10 micron (98% to 10 micron). Captures other impurities than 30 micron and is more effective against water ingress. Extends the life of the entire fuel system. Most popular solution in the industry.

4 Micron (98% at 4 microns): removes and filters water optimally, and protects all modern fuel injection systems, while extending the life of time-consuming engine filters.

Tips for use:

For best performance, Turbine Series filter combinations should be installed on the suction side of the fuel transfer pump. They remove impurities from the fuel using the following three-step process:

First stage, water separation: As the fuel enters the filter combination, it passes through the centrifuge and swirls out large solids and water droplets that fall to the bottom of a collection bowl.

The second step is coalescence migration: Small water droplets bead up on the surface of the conical baffle and the cartridge element. When the droplets are heavy enough, they fall to the bottom of the bowl.

Third step: filtration: The Aquabloc® cartridge captures fine solid and soft impurities. The remaining water is then coalesced onto the surface of the media and coalesced into large droplets that fall back into the transparent collection bowl.

Markets :
– Agriculture

– Construction
– Energy production
– Marine

Applications :
– Diesel and biodiesel engines

Benefits:
– Removal of water that enters the system through condensation in the fuel tank. Any water in the fuel system contributes to bacterial growth, which can clog filters and lead to the formation of corrosive acids. Corrosion and rust then reach vulnerable components, causing erosion and wear to critical fuel system components.
– Removal of solid particles released into the air during refueling, such as sand and silica particles.
– Removal of soft impurities, generated by overheated and degraded diesel fuel, that coat filters with a black, asphalt-like substance, resulting in loss of power and engine stoppage.
– Prevent costly injector damage and extend the service life of downstream filters.
– Save time and costs by eliminating unscheduled maintenance and downtime due to system component failure.
– With the Racor 75 and 791000 turbines, a simple valve operation brings a clean filter back online. This means that the clogged filter can be serviced while the engine is running.
– Available in many configurations to meet specific customer needs, including UL listed marine versions.

Features:
– Aquabloc® media filter elements with 98% efficiency at 4, 10 and 30 microns
– Available in multiple flow rates: 227 lpm (60 gph) with a single 500FG series and up to 2,044 lpm (540 gph) with the 77 and 791000 series triple manifold units
– Corrosion resistant construction
– Self-venting drain valve or connector (on metal bowls)
– Clear collection bowl for dirt
