MINI FYKE NET

1/4″ (10″ DIAMETER) 6′ WINGS

The mini fyke net is used in small, low-lying bodies of water such as streams.

Mainly used for small eels and small fish.

It is made of 1/8″ or 1/4″ knotless nylon mesh.

The wings are attached directly to the fyke net.

Also called Bourne in some area

Entrance diameter: 2″ (2 units)

Docked at both ends (entrance and head) by means of pegs

hammered in with a mallet, or with a large pebble placed at the head to tighten it.

The wings of must be extended on either side of the inlet

and held on the bottom by ballast or large stones placed on the inner headrope.

In this way, when the water level drops, the fish are forced upstream into the trap.
