The hoopnet is used in shallow water, because the gear has a low vertical width. We use it mainly to catch eels and small fish. It is made up of knotless nylon net and is equipped of five 30″ diameter hoops. The wings are fixed directly to the hoopnet. The funnel strops have a diameter from 2″ to 4″, depending on the desired kind of fish one wants to catch.
