MONOFILAMENT EXPERIMENTAL GILLNET

Our experimental Gillnets are made of monofilament yarn. They are hanged at a 55% ratio.

Transparent in color, the wire diameters are relatively proportionate to the different mesh sizes.

Small  monofilament experimental gillnets from 1/2“ to 4” are fitted with a floating and a leaded headrope. Nets with larger mesh sizes

are generally fitted with a float line and a heavier weighted braid.

However, please note that we also manufacture your gillnets to your specifications.

These experimental Monofilament gillnets are designed to survey certain lakes and rivers in order to carry out

to study fish populations in a given territory.

Monofilament wire diameters are:

1/2” for 0.10 mm

3/4“ ,1”, 1 1/4“, 1 1/2” for 0.14 mm

1“, 1 1/4”, 1 1/2“, 1 3/4”, 2“, 2 1/4” for 0.23 mm

1 1/2“, 2”, 2 1/4“, 2 1/2”, 2 3/4” for 0.28 mm

2.5“, 3”, 3.5“, 4” for 0.33 mm

4.5“, 5”, 5 1/2” for 0.40 mm

5“, 6” for 0.52 mm

Thread length:

25′ 50′, 75′, 100′, 150′, 200′, 300′, 400′ 600′

Thread depth:

6′, 6.5′, and 8′ when available.
