FREEMAN DOG ARMS

Freeman‘s hatch dogs are cast aluminum pieces designed to seal shut hatches of various sizes and shapes. Hatches are openings in a ship’s deck, typically used to access storage spaces or to enter and exit the ship.

The Freeman dogs arms are available in different lengths to fit the size of the hatch. For example, hatch dogs for a round hatch of 15 inches, 18 inches, 20 inches, and 24 inches, hatch arms for an oval hatch of 15 inches by 24 inches, and hatch dogs for a square hatch of 30 inches by 30 inches and 36 inches by 36 inches.

These hatch locks are designed to ensure a watertight closure of the hatch to prevent water from entering the ship during difficult weather conditions or in the event of a shipwreck. Hatch locks are an important component of ship safety and are widely used in the maritime industry.
